MACHINE MINDER

Purpose:

 

The duties entail mainly the printing of ordinary copy ranging from line printing to complicated colour printing by means of the conventional lithographic printing processes as well as reproduction by means of high speed lithographic printing machines

 

Requirements:

·                 Grade 12

·                 TTIII Certificate in Litho Printing

·                 Completed Trade Certificate in Litho Printing.

·                 Two years applicable experience within Print Production as a manufacturing environment

·                 Extensive knowledge of all the aspects of printing works and specifically of a  

    Variety of computerised sheet fed offset machines and web presses (including

splicer, splitter, folder,  stacker and strapping device) which are found in a well-equipped printing organisation.

·                 Communication skills (written and verbal)

·                 Good judgement, arithmetical aptitude, initiative and perseverance

·                 Computer skills

·                 A pleasant disposition, neat appearance, interest in people and ability to work in

    Isolation

·                 Ability to work shifts and extended hours when required

Assumption of duty:     As soon as possible

Salary:                         Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
